2022 World Heritage Cities and the Panama Canal

Our first stop took us to Panama City, where culture and history mix with the contemporary lifestyle to offer a one-of-a-kind destination. We visited the Panamanian jungle, and witnessed the transit of ships through the Panama Canal.

Then, we visited the City of Antigua, Guatemala, designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979. Antigua’s architecture and cultural richness make it one of Central America’s most popular cities.

The third city we visited was Puebla, in Mexico. Home of CST Flight Services where Pilots and Passengers received a warm welcome from our Staff. Puebla was declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 1987 and it is the perfect city to visit museums, temples, and archaeological zones.

2022 Bahamas Getaway

• The historic port city of Veracruz, Mexico, point of arrival of Spanish conquistadors in 1518
• Colonial and scenic Antigua, Guatemala, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a visit to a cocoa plantation
  
• Panama City, including visits to the Panama Canal and Panama’s Historic Quarter “Casco Viejo” and Old Panama City

2014 Spring Beach Paradise

The perfect opportunity to charge batteries, soak up the sun and relax on two of the most beautiful beaches in the Bahamas.

The first two days were spent on an idyllic beach at Cape Santa Maria on Long Island which has been voted one of the world’s top 10 most beautiful beaches. The next destination was Fernandez Bay on Cat Island, where complimentary kayaks, snorkeling equipment and bikes were available for everyone’s enjoyment. A visit to Jerome’s Hermitage on Cat Island and an optional day trip to Staniel Cay to see the swimming pigs and snorkel in James Bond’s Thunderball Grotto were also part of this trip.

2013 Colonial Discovery Adventure

A fascinating adventure into Mexico’s colonial history. First Puebla, a UNESCO world heritage site and home to the famous "Talavera" pottery. Next, a couple of days to enjoy some pampering at an old restored colonial hacienda, built in 1529. A special day trip to visit the mining town of Taxco where local artisans make some of world’s most beautiful silver jewelry was also included. Finally, a visit to Oaxaca and the famous Monte Alban archeological site located on a mountain top.

2013 Cessna/Piper Owner Bahamas Spring Breezes

This exclusive island hopping flying trip was arranged for Cessna and Piper Owner members. The first day’s flight was to Marsh Harbour on the beautiful island of Abaco followed by a short ferry ride to the quaint village of Hope Town with its landmark lighthouse. The second flight to Cat Island, our next destination, included a stop to discover Harbour Island and its famous pink sand beaches followed by a savory Bahamian lunch next to the beach. Harbour Island also provided a delightful shopping experience with its colorful souvenir shops and local art galleries. The trip ended with some relaxing beach time at Fernandez Bay.

2012 MAGIC OF BAJA - AOPA Summit Fly Out

Autumn flying down the Baja Peninsula: Perfect weather, beautiful scenery and a wonderful selection of activities and destinations, as well as lodging in first class hotels. The trip started the day after AOPA-Summit ended with a flight to Loreto, a town with peaceful atmosphere and captivating charm, its Jesuit mission and museum, street cafes and numerous restaurants and shops. Oceanside walking to the marina while enjoying the view of the mountains and nearby islands made for a wonderful late afternoon and early evening experience. Next, a visit to Todos Santos a "Magic Village" that is known for its great beaches and also for its many art galleries. To end the trip, a change of pace with a visit to lively Cabo San Lucas which has much to offer in terms of shopping, gastronomy and golden sand beaches. Of course the traditional boat ride to the famous Arch at land’s end was also included.

2011 IFF Pura Vida Tour to Costa Rica

A fascinating trip through Central America to visit unique destinations, including the historic port and colonial city of Veracruz, the emblematic Mayan archeological site of Tikal, a tour to the active Arenal volcano and its wonderful thermal baths, an off the beaten path nature and wildlife experience in the Tortuguero National Park and last but not least, a visit to the popular Costa Rican beach resort of Tamarindo. Additional stops included were an agricultural visit to EARTH University in Guápiles as well as shorter technical stops in, Villahermosa, Mexico, La Ceiba, Honduras, Liberia, Costa Rica and San Salvador. We had the chance to experience archeological marvels and natural beauty in a way that only general aviation flying allows.

This trip was all about a historic journey into pre-columbian and colonial Mexico. An opportunity to learn about the splendor of the Mayan civilization, the Spanish Conquest and life during the Colonial period. The journey began in Veracruz, Hernan Cortez’s original entry point in his conquest of Mexico. From there, a visit to the walled city of Campeche, a colonial jewel; Campeche’s cultural identity is the result of a fusion of the Maya and Spanish, colonial wealth and pirate legends. The final destination was Palenque, considered one of the most beautiful Mayan cities, set on the lush foothills of the Sierra Madre mountains of Chiapas. This was a Mayan-Colonial adventure like no other!

2015 Whale Shark  Fly-In

This adventure started along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, with a visit to two colonial cities: Veracruz and Campeche and take a look at Mexico’s rich traditions and historic past. A tour to the fascinating archeological site of Edzna was scheduled on the way to the wildlife sanctuary of Holbox. There, local expert fishermen took the group on their boats to the Whale Shark sites to snorkel alongside the largest species of fish living in the ocean today. Dolphin and manta sightings, as well as encounters with an abundance of other wildlife, were all part of this adventure. A optional day trip to the archeological site of Chichen Itza was also part of this itinerary.
